pastor russell's advertising methods had already attracted a good deal of attention to himself, and while many referred to him as "the crank preacher of allegheny," his unusual lectures and effective publicity methods drew good-sized crowds to his bible house on arch street.

Another wrong prophetic start date

9, the messiah was to appear exactly 69 weeks after the decree was made to rebuild jerusalem.. historical records show that artaxerxes longanimus made the decree for the jews to rebuild jerusalem in nisan 30 445 bc.
the wt states that that this happened in 455 bc.. they got 607 bc as the date of the destruction of jerusalem wrong and now this one as well.. although this date is not as critical as 607 bc to the wt doctrines, it still shows how they write their own history as they please.

JW acting skills put to the test

they have no idea that i have become "apostate".

Let's play a game - Follow the WTS $$ trail
by watch the tower ina huge question that i have in the back of my mind regarding the wts is where all of the money ends up.
no one really has a conclusive answer to that.
i think it would reveal a lot if we were able to find out.. i know there have been various threads in the past where it revealed a clue here and a clue there.
